Delete your Grove account
You can delete your Grove Reunions account at any time, from the app (More, Delete my account), from Settings on the website, or right here.
How it works
- You ask to delete your account. If you are not signed in, we email a link to the address on your account and you confirm there.
- We email you the date. You have 14 days to change your mind: sign in and choose Keep my account, or use the link in the email.
- After 14 days your account is deleted and we email you to say it is done.
If you lead a group that other people use, please hand it to someone else first (Settings, Transfer access). We never delete a group other people rely on, so your account waits until that is done.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in and your profile: name, email, phone, birthday, photo, bio and preferences.
- Your place in every group roster, plus RSVP details like diet, allergies and emergency contacts.
- Notification settings, text message consent and the phones registered for notifications.
What is kept, and why
- Stories, photos, recipes, posts and messages you shared with your family stay for them, because they are part of the family's history. They show as from a former member, not your name.
- Payment records (amounts, dates, receipts) are kept as the law requires for taxes, refunds and disputes, without your contact details.
- A record that your deletion request was received and completed, with no personal details.
